Discusses the halachos of the morning Krias Shema. Specifically, we
will explore the earliest time that one may say Shema. We will
describe the unique time period pertaining to Shema called “misheyakir” and the
reasons why the chiyuv to say Krias Shema does not begin at Alos Hashachar
(daybreak) or Hanetz Hachama (sunrise). We will learn why Krias Shema
is has its own unique time and the reasons behind it, and whether it is min
Hatorah or Midrabanan. We also discuss if and when one is permitted to say
Shema earlier than that time.
