Discusses the
sugya of “Hefsek” when reciting a bracha, which is discussed at length in the
Gemara Brachos 40a) . Halachah mandates there may not be an unnecessary
break between the Bracha and the action. We will discuss what constitutes
an unnecessary (and therefore forbidden) interruption, and which interruptions
are deemed necessary (l’tzorech) and therefore permitted. For example, is
one permitted to request salt for his bread after already reciting the Bracha?
