Accidental Damages

Explores the Talmudic principle in Baba Kamma 26  “A person is always considered mu’ad (prone to do damage), whether accidental or intended.  It discusses the machlokes Rishonim if this rule implies that a person is obligated even for circumstances beyond his control, or is it limited to uncontrollable circumstances that contain an element of carelessness.  However, a person is not liable for cases when there is no element of fault. Contemporary halachic issues are discussed as well.
